Is Monavie a Scam?
The flagship Acai product in North America,
Monavie, is a brand name that can be credited with
bringing the awareness of the Acai Berry to at least 75% or
more of the people here who have heard of it at all.
However, since the business model of Monavie
is a Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) company, many questionable
marketing procedures by individual distributors, and even
lawsuits aimed at the corporation itself, have taken place in
the few short years since Monavie was introduced.
It is completely justified to ask if Monavie
is a scam, so we would like to set the record straight
here once and for all.
The first thing you have to consider
when asking if Monavie is a Scam is to break the question down
into two parts: The product of Monavie, and the business model
of Monavie.
Is Monavie, the Product, a
Scam?
If you have heard wild claims, such as
"Monavie juice will extend your lifetime 50 years," or "Monavie
will boost your immune system so high that you'll never be sick
again," then the person telling you these things is officially
scamming you.
This is the fault of the individual
distributor who spoke or wrote these words, not the fault
of the Monavie corporation. They have strict rules in place for
what their distributors can and cannot say about the product,
but unfortunately too many greedy distributors get carried away
and sell it too hard.
This is simply a failing of the entire MLM
business model, and should not be viewed as exclusive to
Monavie.
It is true that Dallin Larsen,
the President of Monavie, has been involved with a lawsuit
before from a previous company that oversold its'
health-related products.
